Welcome to EyeWitness. I want to be straight with you about how we handle your data. We respect your privacy, and we are committed to protecting it. By using our site, you accept and agree to the practices I am laying out below.
1. Information We Collect
To make things work, we need a bit of info.
1.1. Information You Provide Voluntarily
This is what you hand over yourself. Things like your name and email address. And it includes any details you drop in when you reach out, fill out forms, sign up for the newsletter, take a survey, or leave a comment. Anything you share as feedback falls right here too.
1.2. Automatically Collected Information
Computers do what computers do. So, our systems automatically pick up some basics when you drop by. That means your IP address, the exact pages you check out, the date and time, and how long you hang around those pages.
1.3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar tools like local storage and web beacons. They help us see trends, run the site, and figure out what our users are actually doing. We also use them to collect demographic info. But you are in the driver’s seat. You can turn these off right in your browser settings whenever you want.
2. How We Use Your Information
We only use your data for reasons that actually make sense. We use it to operate, maintain, and improve our site over time. We personalize things for you, like recommending content you might care about. And if you give us the green light, we will send you newsletters, promotions, and updates.
We also use it to answer your questions and hear your feedback. We keep an eye on site traffic to see what works. Most importantly, we use this info to block fraud, fix technical headaches, address abuse, and keep the bad actors out. Plus, we have to comply with legal obligations.
3. Data Sharing
Let me be crystal clear. We do not sell, trade, or lease your personal data to third parties.
4. Data Retention
We hold onto your data only as long as we genuinely need it for the purposes I mentioned above. Unless the law says we have to keep it longer, we get rid of it. When it is no longer useful, we securely delete or anonymize it.
5. Security
We put reasonable technical and organizational measures in place to lock things down. But I have been around the block enough to know that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute safety. So do yourself a favor. Take precautions, use safe passwords, and limit access when you interact with us.
6. Your Rights (Depending on Jurisdiction)
Depending on where you live, the law gives you certain rights. You can ask to access your personal data. You can correct things if we got them wrong. Under certain conditions, you can tell us to erase your data completely.
You also have the right to restrict or object to how we process things. You can port your data somewhere else. And you can always opt out of marketing communications or pull your consent at any time. Just reach out to us using the info below to exercise any of these rights.
7. Third-Party Links & Embedded Content
You will see links to third-party services or embedded stuff like social media, ads, and videos on our pages. We do not control their privacy practices. So please, review their policies before you hand them your information.
8. Children’s Privacy
EyeWitness is not intended for kids under your applicable age limit, like 13 or 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. But if you find out a kid slipped through the cracks and gave us their info, let us know. We will take steps to delete it right away.
9. International Transfers
If you are visiting us from outside India, your data might be transferred to, stored, and processed in India or other jurisdictions. By using our services, you are giving us your consent for those transfers and processing.
10. Changes to Privacy Policy
Things change. We reserve the right to update or modify this policy at any time. When we do, we will post the new version right here and change that “Last Updated” date at the top. Make sure you review this page periodically.
