Terms of Service

Acceptance of Terms

Look, welcome to Eyewitness at eyewitness.in. I know nobody likes reading the fine print. But before you spend your valuable time on our site, you really need to read these terms. By hanging out here, you agree to play by our rules. If that does not sit right with you, this isn’t the place for you, and you should stop using the site right now. We put this site together just to share general information and news, nothing more. So, sticking around means you accept how we do things.

Intellectual Property Rights

We put a lot of sweat into everything you see here. All the content, including articles, commentary, images, graphics, logos, and text, belongs to Eyewitness or our licensors. It is fully protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. And you cannot just copy, reproduce, republish, or distribute our work in any way without getting our written permission first. So please respect our trademarks and logos. They belong to us, and they cannot be used without our blessing.

Permitted Use of Content

Now, I want you to actually use and enjoy what we built. You are completely free to use our content for your own personal, noncommercial reading.

Here is what you can do. You can absolutely view, read, and share our articles using direct links or on your social media accounts. If you want to download or print out pages for your own private study, go right ahead. Just make sure you leave all our copyright or trademark notices intact. And if you want to quote a short snippet for a review or to add your own commentary, that is fine too. Just remember to give Eyewitness credit and link back to the original piece.

Prohibited Uses

But there are lines you cannot cross without our explicit permission.

Do not try to republish, sell, license, or make a quick buck off our content. Do not strip out our copyright or trademark notices. And definitely do not point automated tools like scrapers or bots at our site to harvest our hard work without our consent. Doing any of that breaks the law and violates our intellectual property rights.

Disclaimers

We work hard to give you accurate information. But we make zero warranties or representations about how complete, reliable, or accurate the news on our site actually is. Everything here is strictly for general information.

So, if you rely on what you read here, that is entirely at your own risk. News gets stale, and mistakes happen. Always double-check the facts yourself before making big decisions. We are not responsible if you lose money or face damages because you relied on our content.

Also, we link to other websites sometimes because it is helpful. But we do not control those third-party sites. We are not endorsing them, and we definitely disclaim responsibility for their accuracy, content, or practices. In short, we provide this site “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. By using the site, you agree we are not responsible for damages caused by errors, omissions, or actions taken based on our content.

Limitation of Liability

I need to be completely clear about this next part. To the maximum extent the law allows, Eyewitness, along with our officers and employees, will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that come from you using our site. We are not on the hook for lost profits, lost goodwill, or data losses, even if someone warned us it could happen. If there is inaccurate or misleading information that causes you a headache, we are not responsible for it. And in the absolute worst-case scenario, our total liability to you will never exceed whatever amount you paid to access the site.

Changes to the Terms

Startups evolve, and so will these rules. We can revise or update these terms whenever we decide to at our sole discretion. But if we make a big material change, we will give you a heads up on the site at least 30 days before it takes effect. We will update the “Last Updated” date at the top, too. If you keep using the site after those changes go live, that means you accept the new rules. If you do not like the changes, you just need to stop using the site.
